Tutoring services go into overdrive during the summer months, particularly for those services that offer tutoring for tests like the LSAT and the GME. If you are interested in going to law school you need to be able to pull a great LSAT score. Without a great LSAT score your chances of getting into the law school of your choice is not going to be good. If you want to go to a highly competitive school like Harvard then your LSAT score will need to be spectacular so that you are able to beat out the competition for the few open spots.
LSAT preparation can be done anytime during the year. However, I recommend that students start during the summer months when their normal school sessions are out. This enables the student to focus solely on preparing for the LSAT examine which can be very challenging. This test is not like other standardized tests like the SAT and the ACT. It focuses on the skills that are required for law school like reasoning and legal terminology.
Selecting a tutor or tutoring service to work with is not easy. If you have never worked with a tutor before then consider a professional tutoring service. These services are usually certified and overly qualified to help you pass your LSAT exam.
You college is another great resource to tap when preparing for the LSAT. There are LSAT exam preparation courses that you can take. However, it is still a good idea to work with a tutor even when you are taking an LSAT prep class.
