May is nearly over and summer vacation will soon be upon us. If you have a student that needs a little extra help with their school work, then summer is a great time to nip learning problems in the bud and to reinforce what has been learned during the previous school year. Home tutoring services can be used for many purposes during the summer months. The first service that they can deliver to your kids is to help reinforce what they have learned during the preceding school year, and help them to retain more of what they learned. This option is perfect for kids with learning disabilities or kids that have a hard time getting up to speed at the beginning of the school year.
Online tutoring is another great resource that you can use during the summer months when school is out. You may even be able to work something out with the school so that they front the bill for the tutoring. If your child has an IEP team then talk to them before the end of the school year to set up tutoring services. This can be a great alternative to summer school.
